My absolute favorite is True Romance Quentin Tarantino. Fascinating to hear his take on it.

This Is Spinal Tap, with David St. Hubbins, Derek Smalls, and Nigel Tufnel. The commentary is as funny as the movie.

Yes! To all Smith tracks and I do love the Evil Dead 1 and 2 commentaries.
Raimi jokingly chewing Campbell out for the worst reverse motion acting he's ever seen is priceless!

My absolute favourite is Werner Herzog's English commentary track for Aguirre: The Wrath of God. Just, the casual way that he goes from one absolutely insane story about the production of the film, to the next - in between confidently asserting his audacious filmmaking opinions/advice ("storyboards are for cowards", etc) - really made a big impression on me when I watched it. Herzog's commentaries are the best, and I could probably cull together a top 10 list, just from him! (Shout did a really great job of gathering together a definitive selection of commentaries, in English and subtitled-German, for their Herzog Collection boxset...)

But jeez, actually coming up with a top 10 list would be hard. Vampire's Kiss comes to mind as one of them...

I don't know if we're including TV here, but I also adore Doc & Jackson's commentary tracks on (every episode of) The Venture Bros...

I always listen to the audio commentaries for all of my Blu-rays, and it's near impossible for me to pick favorites, but here are a few standouts...

Michael Jeck's commentary for Seven Samurai

David Forgacs's commentary for Red Desert

Jordan Peele's commentary for Get Out

The John Carpenter/Kurt Russell commentaries for...well...all of their movies.

Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier commentary for Road House
(These two don't really add anything constructive to the movie background, but this commentary track is just pure hilarious comedy gold.)

The Joe Bob Briggs commentary for I Spit on Your Grave (1978)
(Joe Bob Briggs is sort of like the good-natured humorous protective older brother who keeps you company during a scary nighttime walk in the woods.)

Alan Silver commentary for Murder, My Sweet

James Ursini commentary for Out of the Past

The commentary to Silent Night Deadly Night 2 has to be one of my top favorites. It's like watching a Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode. Hilarious.
Also just watched Halloween '78 with Carpenter and Curtis today and it was a very entertaining commentary.

I really need to watch more audio commentary's. I really enjoy them. Just hard to make time for them.

John Carpenter and Kurt Russell are a magic combo as already mentioned. JC is good with Roddy Piper as well. But his best is with Jeff Bridges.
Arnold Schwarzenegger commentaries are hilarious (Conan & Total Recall).

Oliver Stone's World Trade Center had an amazing commentary from 9/11 first responder Will Jimeno (played by Michael Peņa in the movie) and rescuers Scott Strauss, John Busching and Paddy McGee. It's better than the movie and a must-listen even if you hated the movie (which apparently a lot of people did).

I'm not gonna narrow it down to ten - that sounds like a homework assignment - but my all-time fave track is the band members on This Is Spinal Tap. It's brilliant.
