Default Hal Hartley's latest Kickstarter - Where To Land - new original film on Blu-ray

Hal Hartley has a new Kickstarter for an original film entitled Where To Land. He's done three other Kickstarters in the past for Blu-ray boxsets of his previous films, and all three were successful with very good results. Those are still available for purchase on his website halhartley.com

- Henry Fool Trilogy (Henry Fool, Fay Grim, Ned Rifle)
- The Long Island Trilogy (The Unbelievable Truth, Trust, Simple Men)
- Surviving Desire & Co. (Surviving Desire, Theory of Achievement, Ambition, Opera No. 1)

Now he's working on a new movie and looking to finance the principal production and the Blu-ray release. This latest Kickstarter is in the home stretch and needs to be pushed over the edge. I figured there would have already been a thread about it here, but there doesn't seem to be one. There is a Blu-ray option in the rewards, so I would think this meets the criteria for discussion in the Blu-ray section of this forum.

Quote:
Joseph Fulton, a well-regarded fifty-eight year-old director of romantic comedies, wants to become assistant groundskeeper at a local cemetery. He wants to work outdoors and be close to nature. Meanwhile, he thinks it’s important to have his last will and testament drawn up. But his highly dramatic actress girlfriend thinks he must be dying and that he is just too brave to tell anyone. The rumor spreads and soon everyone he knows—and some he doesn’t—are crowded in to his small apartment to say their last farewells.

Love Hal's work, which i could contribute, im tapped out this holiday. Was hoping to see the Long Island Trilogy drop in price to 50% like the Henry Fool Set did last year on a flash sale. I guess im glad he got Kickstarter instead of big studio backing, so he remains in total control of his films and projects.

Think he should've waited till the January. Christmastime is not the best time for a lot of people.

Perhaps. He's getting real close now but it's going to be a photo finish...

This kickstarter is 100% fully funded. One more day left to pledge and get in on this(ends Sat, January 4 2020 12:00 PM PST).

Thank you, op for posting about this. Hal Hartley & Bill Sage equals a bit YES. I opted for the blu-ray.
