Ghostbusters (2016) is the only reboot I have ever had a desire to see at the cinema and subsequently enjoyed. I like Batman Begins too but I never felt as though I wanted to see it upon its cinema release.

The Thing (1981) and maybe Little Shop of Horrors are the only remakes that I found to be substantially better than the original movies that they're based on.

My favorite remake is 3:10 to Yuma. I have to see the other versions but obviously Maltese Falcon was a good remake as well. As for reboots, Batman Begins sticks out although the new Planet of the Apes is also pretty good.

If Mad Max Fury Road counts as a reboot, then that!

Fortunately the question wasn't which remakes/reboots is better than the originals, because I don't think I've seen any that is (but the way my mind works right now I wouldn't trust it, so...)

The Dawn of the Dead remake was a GREAT movie; funny, splatty, shocking! And it was a perfect remake in that it took many of the important parts of the original and transferred them to a current environment with updated effects.

When we watched it, the guy next to me couldn't have watched many zombie movies (or scary movies, for that matter)! He screamed like a little girl 3 times within the first 15 minutes, scaring me more than what was on the projection screen each time...

I haven't seen many of them, mostly do to not remotely being interested in them. And the ones I have seen, there's really only one I'd say was better and that's Batman Begins. Man of Steel is my personal choice. *waits to be told how wrong I am....*

Why in the world would you include Gus Van Sant's atrocious Psycho remake in the poll?!
