Default Nintendo announces they are getting out of the mobile business

https://apptrigger.com/2020/06/28/ni...-mobile-games/

You know the most ironic thing about this to me is they never released the ONE game that I thought would be a no-brainer on mobile, which is Mario Golf. I would have bought that in a heartbeat.

Guess they didn't find it as lucrative as they anticipated it to be. There was the backlash with Mario Run for being a paid game, the others went on to be F2P.

Mario Kart Tour to play online has a paid subscription, I think. Ridiculous. I'd rather play Mario Kart 7 for a true Mario Kart experience.

I'm glad, tried some of the games and didn't like them.

It's a great source of revenue, but probably doesn't match Nintendo's business plan.

I only downloaded the Mario run one. I love Mario games, but played it once and haven't played it since. Truth be told, I just don't like playing games on mobiles or small screens. The only one that gripped me for a while was Angry Birds, years ago now.
