Default Think it's Over?

Now that Blu Ray has weathered the deflection of Paramount and the big guns: Transformers, Shrek 3, and Bourne, have failed to result in HD DUD taking even a single week of sales for the year.

I'm curious how people feel about the Format War. I think it's been over since the release of the PS3 more then a year ago but now I'm more certain then ever that DUD was just a mistake.

too dang early to tell, yes blu has performed better and should be backed for a win, but those pesky Ants just dont give up.

CES will be a telling time. hopefully the industry will see sense.

As long as they don't accept any bribes I fail to see how they could possibly choose HD DVD when Blu-ray has dominated all year long and has showed no signs of slowing down. Also, if Warner truly wants the format war to end then Blu-ray is the only choice they can make.

It's not over yet, but this is definitely a chair thrown at Microsoft for a change.

The problem with HD-DVD is that they have DEEP pockets as in Microsoft. So if they really want to drag this out just to stall HD disc's in general they probably could for quite a while longer unfortunately.

I wouldn't put it past them just to try and get the whole download thing going but..... I guess we will have to wait and see.

they are stalling out HD-DVD/Blu-ray because they want to buy time until they finish their download service..

As long as it's breathing or Warner is not Blu exclusive HD-DVD is viable.

As long as they have Warner, they still have a chance. After Warner makes it's decision, you will get your answer.
