Warner Bros Christopher Nolan: Director's Collection (2000-2012)

Mark your calendars, boys and girls.

Quote:
Memento (2000) - Point blank in the head a man shoots another. In flashbacks, each one earlier in time than what we've just seen, the two men's past unfolds. Leonard, as a result of a blow to the head during an assault on his wife, has no short-term memory. He's looking for his wife's killer, compensating for his disability by taking Polaroids, annotating them, and tattooing important facts on his body. We meet the loquacious Teddy and the seductive Natalie (a barmaid who promises to help), and we glimpse Leonard's wife through memories from before the assault. Leonard also talks about Sammy Jankis, a man he knew with a similar condition. Has Leonard found the killer? What's going on?

Insomnia (2002) - Invited to Nightmute, Alaska, to head a murder case, a veteran LAPD detective finds his investigation disrupted by an ever-shining midnight sun that wreaks sleep-depriving havoc on him – and by personal guilt over a second crime that may be real...or a figment of his increasingly unstable consciousness.

Batman Begins (2005) - Batman Begins explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful. He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.

The Dark Knight (2008) - With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, the Batman has been making headway against local crime... until a rising criminal mastermind known as The Joker unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City. To stop this devious new menace — Batman's most personal and vicious enemy yet — he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes.

Inception (2010) - Dom Cobb is a professional thief with a difference: the spoils he goes after are not material objects but the thoughts, dreams and secrets buried in the minds of other people. This rare talent has cost him dear, rendering him a solitary fugitive stripped of everything he ever really cared about. When he is offered a chance for redemption by reversing the process and planting an idea rather than stealing it, he and his team of specialists find themselves pitted against a dangerous enemy that appears to pre-empt their every move.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's crimes.

Yes.

Sleek box but I already have three of these on Blu-ray (while I intend to upgrade Memento, Insomnia and Batman Begins).

This seems really lazy. At least the boxart for the last collection was interesting, this looks like all 4 faces will probably be the same image rotated.

Am I the only one seeing Prestige on the coverart? It lists 6 titles on the product page, but The Prestige is shown on the box itself.

I guess the other release was to cash in on timing with TDKR. This one I don't know.

Default No hate ...I love Nolan, but...

As I already own multiple editions of "Inception", "Batman Begins", "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises", not to mention the steelbook edition of "Memento" ...and since I didn't particularly enjoy "Insomnia", I guess I'll pass on this box set. This way I can spend my hard earned mullah on The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collection

Especially if they dropped Insomnia. Warner already distributes that in the US, whereas they had to make a deal with Disney to get The Prestige included in this set.

You mean the black box wasn't the final art?

That's too bad as it was nice art.

I haven't seen TDKR on blu, but the transfers to the rest of these movies are all terrible.

I'll pass, I've already Octodipped on The Dark Knight, I have like 5 copies of Batman Begins and 3 of The Dark Knight Rises, both US releases for Memento, the only other film I enjoy of his is The Prestige. Insomnia and Inception are passable for me. Plus I'm most likely going to pick up the The Dark Knight Ultimate edition ( I'm a sucker for Batman)

I've already got Nolan's films on Blu-Ray; I have no need for this set.

Interstellar comes out next year, so how many more future editions of the "Nolan Collection" will there be?
