... Warner will be releasing A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) on 4K on October 1st for its 40th Anniversary! The release will include both Uncut, and Theatrical editions of the film. There will be a Steelbook, as well as a Standard edition for the US, and a Deluxe Collector's Edition for the UK and other international countries.

Obviously I'm delighted this is coming (not that it's any surprise - it's the 40th anniversary and a 4K DCP was screened recently), but man, it'll suck if we don't get the sequels. Freddy's Revenge appreciators, unite!

I can’t f*cking wait for this one. Though I really really do wish we were getting the whole series.

Ugh. I hope the new art doesn’t suck though. Here’s hoping the steelbook in the slipcase is OG art similar to The Exorcist.

This sure sounds like another situation in which the UK will get a limited 2000 copies deluxe edition and the US will get the basic steelbook itself. Stoked to finally get some confirmation that this is happening.

Pre-ordered to ensure I get a copy of this deluxe edition. $60 US is no joke but thankfully Amazon has a great cancellation setup and so should this get announced for less in the US and all the same goodies, I'll switch at that time.

Bring on the Sequels!
