South Korea Mommy (Xavier Dolan), PLAIN Archive's Exclusive Blu-ray Edition No. ???

Quote:
We’ll be releasing Xavier Dolan’s Mommy in 2015. More details coming later this year.

Mommy won the Jury Prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

No information yet about SteelBook or Keep Case (I suspect the latter but hope to be proven wrong )

Picture uploaded to PLAINs Instagram 3 days ago:

Also, Someone asked if it was "Steel or amaray" to which PLAIN replied:
Quote:
Actually, not both steel and amaray. We use scanavo's keepcase.
I take that as a confirmation that it will be Keepcase "only" (as I suspected...) but we all know it will still be a wonderful release

Thank you to key714 for the heads-up!

As usual, more information will be added as it becomes available. I can always use hints and tips about it though, so let me know in this thread or via PM

I was going to PM you when I saw this...but just posted it in the Asia PA thread instead. You do the PA threads so well.

Thank you!
I didn't always do them like this, but general feedback on another thread about the appalling state of many OPs caused me to put more effort into them! Now I just need to find the time to go back and apply this standard to earlier threads...

OP updated with a picture from IG and a reply from PLAIN that indicates this will be a Keepcase "only" release.

Do you think they will always release multiple variants for each film? Everything since Blue Is The Warmest Color has had different covers to chose from. I wonder if Mommy will have a lone version, or A & B.

Pure speculation here!

I think we will be seeing at least 2 different versions of any upcoming movie from PLAIN (SteelBooks and Keepcase combinations, different SB designs or different Keepcase designs). It appears to be a winning concept for them so there isn't really any idea in NOT doing it in the future...

My 5 cents (inflation... )

I'm unfamiliar with the film aside from its recent review here. OAR was 1.85 yet Canada had varying ratio in the release, is that to be expected here? Again, I know nothing but the review.

I have no idea why, but I really thought when they posted the teaser images that they said coming in May. I'm going crazy.

Only Lovers Left Alive will be released in May according to the first information. Could you be mixing them up?

Possibly. I knew that was coming out in May already though. I thought it was a "May or June" release. Which I even thought to myself "Hmm...if this comes out in May, that would make 2 releases in the same month".

Movie has such a geat soundtrack, I'm so excited for this release it hurts! Definitely anticipating it the most out of the upcoming Plain releases, except for probably Foxcatcher and the almighty Oldboy. That photo they posted definitely looks like it could be used for one of the slips.

Nope. Nothing official but based on what they've said about other releases this probably won't be coming til 2016. This year they're trying to release Om Shanti Om, Still Alice, Foxcatcher, Ernest & Celestine, Frank, and Oldboy (not sure if I forgot any)

Really want to see this. I saw Dolan's previous film, Tom at the Farm, and loved it.
