Might be a dumb question but will this play in a North American PS4?

It should. The entire Imprint range so far has been region free.

Who's picked up a copy?

Mine arrived today and upon a quick inspection, I'm very impressed, especially with the exclusive bonus content.

Looks as good as the TT. The new extra features look promising too. 30 min Director's interview, and a 45. min. look at the real gang.

Is he talking about the score and "Live to tell"?
There´s always been a rumour among Madonna fans, that she indeed recorded the song in a single take.
Not a rumor.

Live to tell is probably one of her finest songs and Leonards score is amazing in this film - i might buy this jsut for the isolated score as cant remember if the film was any good ?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but thought I'd note that the isolated score is in mono. Still nice to have I guess, but I wonder if it was a mistake or something intentional. The score is in stereo/surround in the actual film.

That said, I loved this release so much I watched it 3 times in a row earlier this year. Regular, with commentary and then with the isolated score, which went straight to the center channel only.

I have the TT, so it's probably not worth the double dip.

Great, under-looked film.

I had the TT blu as well and wasn't going to bother. But the extras on the Imprint are terrific for those who love the flick as much as I do, especially the doco about the real family on which the film is based. That sold me on the upgrade. The transfer is otherwise the same.

How in the name of Mike did this film only get a three-star review from the reviewer on this site? That's just wild, man.

I did notice that. It's been years since I've seen it. I certainly think it's more than a three-star picture. Particularly impactful was the cinematography: for such an ugly tale of the banality of violence and parental brainwashing, each frame glides along with the ethereal beauty of a fever-dream.

The review scores seem to be based entirely on the technical merits of the US discs. In both cases they got a low score of 1.5 or 2 in the extras department, average 3 or 3.5 for video and 4 for audio, which levels out to 3.5 for the TT edition and 3 for the reissue. No doubt any review of the the Imprint disc would score a lot higher in the extras department, which would push the score up to 4 or 4.5.

Absolutely. While it is as grim as it ever was, with the passing of time the film is now rightfully regarded highly and Sean Penn still considers it the best of his career. But James Foley remains a bit of an underrated director. His Glengarry Glen Ross is an absolute classic.
