I think you normally would need that amount of credits to redeem. But once you put in the code 'TREKKIE' at checkout, it comes up as free, no credits used.

Did you try redeeming it through Paramount's site? I don't think the code would work on UV's or Flixster's site ( I could totally be wrong though).

Yea, I tried on Paramount via the redeem area and it didn't work. So then I tried to use it as a promo code for a purchase and that did not work either.

08/05 ETA: Email Regal that I could not get the promo code to work and they sent me a new one this morning.
