It doesn't bode well that your fourth post is a bashing of the forum rules.

Yes, I do have an HD DVD player. But it has been used maybe 4 times. I decided to box it back up after the fourth disappointing film viewing experience in a row. I know what you are thinking, "Why do you still have it then?" Well, to answer that question I will have to travel to a place that you will not like... I DON'T WANT TO PERPETUATE THE PROGNOSTICATION OF AN INFERIOR PRODUCT POSSIBLY WINNING THIS WAR!!!! That's correct. I'd rather have an HD DVD player collecting dust on my shelf than let some other sucker fall victim to its false allure. And, because of this, I consider my sacrifice a small part of how I try to better the human race on a daily basis. So, as part of the "purple pod people" who seems to have a predilection for inferiority (clearly you are HD DVD preferable from your OP) I ask you politely to not attempt provoking the faithful in matters of their beliefs.

Have a nice day.

I have an HD player as well, not trying to hide that fact, I have 2 Samsung 1400's, 2 Panny BD30's , a PS3 and an HD A35, count is now up to BLU=113, HD=11. My point is that it is weird for you to talk about HD format on blu-ray.com? I would go to AVS Forum or what ever site HD has, not really sure what your point is? Why would people be talking up HD on a Blu-Ray site? if you want to talk HD, go to an HD site....... You obviously should realize this site isn't about HD DVD and you are probably not going to find people talking about what HD discs they bought yesterday?

Oh never mind. You guys (ARE) narrow minded............................................ ................

I also am not sure when "The truth will come out both formats are just as good as the other" when one format probably won't be around after the next year or so.....who knows

New talking point?

So now it is wrong to do what you believe in? i.e. the best course for the future of HDM is ONE format and as an adjunct to that, we happen to believe that the qualities of this format is superior to the other? It is arguable that the enthusiast's preferences have *never* won the day in the A/V world. In other words the lesser choices have always prevailed.

I am a film lover, and as such, I would like to see them preserved and accessible in what I consider to be the best container available to me as a collector and a consumer. As a film lover why would I wish otherwise? To that end it is *not* simply about the film but the manner in which it is provided which means the technology. Is this too much to ask for before we see the the MP3'ing of film as well?

So bold away, that won't make your position the right one.

It doesn't do your argument much good when each of your posts have every other word misspelled and/or grammatically incorrect. No HD-DVD player = more money for BDs. Besides, I can count on my hand how many HD-DVD exclusive titles I'd actually purchase. Of course, I will buy them when Universal goes Blu.

No, Terabyte also loses because there is company in Korea that doesn't exist yet planning on making a 1 Gizzallabyte DVD.

This is certainly an odd post, this isn't a HD site or a video site, it is a Blu-ray site, so it does seem quite logical that HD-DVD discussions would at the very very least be "out of topic" and very normal to have those discussions excluded.

Not narrow minded. I'm looking for a single format for my movie collection. Buying into both formats is a waste of money. Eventually one will lose.
