Default Best PQ on 4K UHD Disk Out?

I am wondering in your opinion which movie has the best PQ and HDR. I currently have Martian, Life of Pi, Sicario, Pineapple Express, Watchmen, and both Star Treks. Quality on Martian, Life of Pi, and the Into the darkness are fantastic.

Looking for other good examples of 4K transfers that I may be missing out on. Open to any suggestions.

Have it on blu-ray, wasn't sure if it was worth the double dip (heard the improvement wasn't enough)

The Divergent Series: Allegiant is best movie 4K UltraHD pure HDR.

There UHD 4K movies damaged HDR.

Revenant is very foolish you. It's green teal picture look richer.

The IMAX scenes on Star Trek Into Darkness are the best I've seen from UHD discs. Of the other ones I own, I think The Martian is the one that's the most consistently impressive.

I might be a minority in my opinions, but I thought the following looked quite good:

Chappie
Ender's Game
Deadpool (was a good improvement over the BD)
Pride + Prejudice + Zombies

I've heard Sicario really looks good. I've only seen the first 5 minutes of it. From that, I would agree, but can't speak for the whole film.

Yeah I have Chappie and that quality is fantastic as well. You think Deadpool would be worth the blu-ray upgrade? Also what did you think about enders and pride and prejudice movie wise?

>a bunch of shitty upscaled movies have the best picture quality

Now I've heard everything. You people are the reason why they keep getting away with spoonfeeding us garbage quality, again and again.

Anyways OP, it's obviously The Smurfs 2 as that is the only one that was filmed and digitally mastered in 4K through its entire process. Shitty movie, amazing PQ.

6 or more mentioned above are native 4k, but fight the good fight

Duh! Look at the spec sheet, not the screen.

So far the best I have seen is Star Trek Into the Darkness those Imax scenes are awesome. I plan on watching Watchmen, Man of Steel and Batman VS Superman this weekend so maybe that will change.

If only I enjoyed the revenant, I heard the HDR and 4k is fantastic on it, just thought the film was boring sadly

Watchmen is pretty good, just watched it the other night. PQ seemed to be very good and the colors pop a lot more than the blu with the HDR.

BvS was also great PQ but another dark movie.

Both movies have heavy grain which screws with the PQ IMO

The best UHD Blu rays I've seen are The Revenant, Chappie,Sicario and if I have to choose a 2K upscale that would be Star Trek Into Darkness.

Smurfs 2 is the best. Filmed with the sony F65, a real 4k camera. If you were wowed by the 35 minutes if imax of star trek 2, you'll be wowed by this one as the entire movie looks like full screen imax.

Revenant, sicario are close, but mostly filmed with 3.4k cameras.

Star Trek 2 also great.
