This doesn't really seem like a subject Spurlock would take on but just mentioning his name has me interested. He is by for the best American documentary filmmaker in my opinion.

Sounds fascinating. I would probably be interested in a documentary like this anyway, but Spurlock's involvement will make this a must-see for me. Not only was I impressed with Super Size Me years ago, but he also had a documentary-style TV series called 30 days, which focused on taking people out of their comfort zone & putting them into an alien environment for a month. Compelling stuff - and, I have no doubt this doc. will be great as well.

I'm excited for this, actually. Rats are fascinating creatures, as afraid of them as I am.

It's playing at a film festival I'm going to October 14-16, but if it's going to play on Discovery not long after, I might just wait.

I hate rats. But, I can't help but be intrigued by this film.

I'm glad the documentary is airing on Discovery.

I actually saw this over the weekend. Was playing a midnight screening at a local theater.

It's good. Interesting. The horror aspect is a gimmick though. It's literally just a documentary about rats. The sheer population size of them, what different countries and cultures around the world do to deal with it. The only thing "horror" about it, is the score, some of the camera and lightning techniques, and the font used for the credits. It could have very easily just been shot as a straight forward documentary. The choice to make it "horror" is purely aesthetics alone.

With that being said, it was very well made, and extremely interesting to watch. You'll go from researchers directing them and harvesting their organs to study, to people beating them with sticks.

One major gripe with the film is
[Show spoiler]the addition of sound effects. You can tell that all the squeaking noises were added in post, to draw up the dramatic effect. Also, in some scenes of rat killings, there were added noises of bones breaking and stuff. It's just too dramatic and artificial and somewhat took me out.

Rats are very useful in the wild, just don't want them in my house, same applies to other assorted rodents, bedbugs, cockroaches, and ants.

Creepy, disgusting, and engrossing horror documentary, that I wish never to see again.
