I haven't bought one yet (no soundbar yet, currently researching them), but this is a pretty good deal. Can pair 8 devices.

No idea how long the sale will last. Store pickup seems to work for this item too.

It was also at $39.99 from Best Buy for the first week of January, after being priced at $49.99 around Black Friday. It reportedly is a discontinued model (does not appear in Logitech's web store), so I would expect to see further sales like this until the warehouse stock is exhausted. The price might drop further in future weeks, but the remote is already a great deal at this price.

I am occasionally having the typical Logitech remote issues with this model (some devices randomly fail to turn on or off on the first attempt), requiring using the Remote Assistant or going into manual device mode. Some day I will get motivated enough to tweak the signal delay times, which will hopefully minimize that problem. Otherwise, it is working well.

I have a 650 (same thing, minus rechargeable batteries) and I love it. Have had it for two years with no issues.

If you tweak the signal delay it works great. I recommend it highly for a moderate home theater. Otherwise I would upgrade to the touch screen or tablet models.
