I'd be all over a premium release of Constantine. While not exactly great cinema, I thought it was a darn entertaining movie and have been hoping someone would release a steelbook for it.

Eh, Constantine was a mediocre film at best. They could've done much better given the source material. There needs to be a proper Hellblazer movie.

Why? I don't even hate Constantine, I just don't think it's very good.

I do enjoy Peter Stormare's performance. I used to like the film but then I discovered the comics and they are so much better. John Constantine would never quit smoking, for one. Matt Ryan made a much better JC in the short-lived tv series.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I ever seen a previous steelbook version, so this is good news that Manta Lab is finally releasing one.

Don't compare the comics and the movies. Treat them as separate entities.
I loved CONSTANTINE as a film on its own merits - and I WAS a fan of the comic first. I divorced myself from the idea that it was a literal attempt at translation.
They OBVIOUSLY did not attempt to even try to be a literal translation. It was its own thing.
