Default Need help! PS3

I have a PS3 that i just brought home from being hooked up to my 1080p tv and it is now going to my 720p tv i have at home. The problem is i forgot to change the settings before i left and all i have is a blank screen. If anyone would be willing to go into their ps3 and tell me what buttons to press from start up ( i also have to log in) that would be great... I apreciate any help...

There's a trick some people don't know about: Hold the power button down after it beeps once, and it will beep again, resetting your display settings. You can set them from there.

That would have saved me a hassle a couple of weeks ago. I replaced my PS3 in my HT set-up with a Panny BD30 and moved the PS3 back to my living room. I forgot to switch the settings and couldn't get a picture on the plasma in my living room. I ended up hauling the PS3 back downstairs and hooking it up to the projector again in order to make the change. I'll definitly have to remember this for next time though. Thanks for the info

I remember finding it out as well...by accident actually.

My first PS3 went dead in exactly 1 week (hard drive) and in it's crashing moments I had to hold down the power button...which reset the display settings on the side, hehe.

So when I upgraded to HDMI, I knew what to do...otherwise I would have been very confused.

P.S. I returned that PS3 and got a replacement back in April and it has worked without a problem since! Love this thing...

When I switched from components cables to HDMI my PS3 automatically detected the HDMI and changed the display for me. It said something like "PS3 has detected HDMI, do you want to use this?" It didn't work when I went from HDMI to component though, I had to reset the display settings.
