What typos are you talking about? It looks good to me. I even compared it to the exact quote. Maybe I missed it though.

Many errors in the copy above. Compare with below.
“Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a f0cking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suit on hire purchase in a range of f0cking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the f0ck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing f0cking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, f0cked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life… But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin’ else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you’ve got heroin?” ― Irvine Welsh, Trainspotting |

So, if you a referring the widely circulated "allposters.com" version with typos, there's a clearly a discrepancy there because it says "mortgage". The only typo I see on an original Trainspotting poster is "heath" instead of "health", and you'll find reference to people talking about this on the web. Either way, this seems a silly discussion as these are clearly typos/discrepancies and don't match up with what's present in the film (or at least the US version of it)... [Show spoiler] ![]() |

If you use Helvetica font to typeset your text, then the copy should not have typos, or they will be noticed. Helvetica is a machined font that is as close to a perfect font.
The alternative is to use grunge font and make as many typos as you want. |

Really.
It's a quote from the book. That is written in Glaswegian. It's spelt how it's pronounced. The subtitles are just there to make it easy to read. If the subtitles were written the same way as the book. No bugger could understand it. So it's not wrong. |

There is a particular consistent way that Irvine Welsh spelt it:
“The fact that ye jist simply choose tae reject whut they huv tae offer. Choose us. Choose life. Choose mortgage payments; choose washing machines; choose cars; choose sitting oan a couch watching mind-numbing and spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing f-ckin junk food intae yir mooth. Choose rotting away, pishing and shiteing yersel in a home, a total f-ckin embarrassment tae the selfish, f-cked-up brats ye’ve produced. Choose life. Well, ah choose no tae choose life. If the f-cks cannae handle that, it’s thair f-ckin problem.” ― Irvine Welsh, Trainspotting Instead of “stuffing f-cking junk food into your mouth” it is spelt as “stuffing f-ckin junk food intae yir mooth” All of the “to”s should be spelt “tae”s, as well as: “you” - “yae”, “you’ve” - “ye’ve”, “your” - “yir” “shit” - “shite” In this case, “pish” is actually the correct way to pronounce “piss”, but you can’t have it both ways and spell most of the text correctly and spell three words incorrectly. P.S. It appears that the actual quotation from the text is not the same as the text from the screenplay/script. Last edited by lateralspin; 09-27-2016 at 11:22 PM. |
