***

We will have a review of Tepepa later today, but I wanted to share a few photos with you from Koch Media's release. The release is quite beautiful, with some rather unique packaging.

The presentation is also very good - certainly for a Euro western. It would appear that the releases in The Western Unchained Collection, which also has DVD releases, will be some sort of definitive editions.

In the case of Tepepa, the English-language version, which is the film's 'original' version, also has various portions in Italian (same quality), which come with optional English subtitles. I have not owned this film on DVD before, and certainly have not seen an Italian DVD release, but it would appear that the Italian-dialog portions were indeed from an Italian version of the film, not seen internationally. So, this is an "ultimate edition" of sorts, and done very well.

I have decided to also pick up the DVD releases, as I assume that they are of similar high quality. (I know Tinto Brass' Yankee was released before and it was a pretty good release).

Tepepa is Region-Free.

They were in a big hurry as they didn't include 22-page German booklet .

Looks awesome, too bad a few of them are DVD only

PB, maybe you can start a sticky in the DVD section for the DVD releases like you have doen for so many other great collections. It's really hard to keep up on good foreign dvd releases these days

Any ideas on how to get the FSK sticker off without damaging the surface of the cardboard packaging? I tried removing the sticker from one copy and the glossy surface came off with the sticker...

Come on fellow western fans. How have you been able to remove the FSK sticker without damaging the glossy surface of the cardboard packaging?

Blow with a hair dryer on the sticker. Then carefully remove sticker.

Anybody got an idea if these have English subtitles.

Tepepa is clear due to the review, but i wonder about the rest. Know for a fact that older DVD releases by Koch Media had almost always English subs but this was never stated on the cover, because they didn't actually have the rights for it.

Die Zeit der Geier (Last of the Badmen) , Der Tod zählt keine Dollar (Death Does Not Count the Dollars) Der Mörder des Klans (Shoot the Living and Pray for the Dead) and Rocco - Der Mann mit den zwei Gesichtern (Sugar Colt) have English audio and no English subtitles.
