(I was stupid enough to think 16 candles was coming in year 1 of bd; Universal definitely knows how to smack down the most obvious releases until you just basically stop caring)

I heard that this isn't a dnr filtered mess. I hope that source is the more correct one :/

i dont think thats the release date more just the date amazon expect to get stock in by. thats sometimes what they show for stuff out of stock when they have an idea of when the shipment will be in.

could just be a glich it may update to the 28th as a release date as time goes on. 19th is probly when there expecting there shipment in though is my guess.

when i check my pre order it now shows insted of wil email u with a date it says oct 9th as the expected ship date so who knows.

Love this film and even though the soundtrack has been changed, it’s still the performances that keep me coming back to it. The only way to get that original soundtrack on the film is to get the “High School Reunion Collection” – which luckily I own (but not on Blu, dammit) – I can’t imagine being a teenager without this film. It and BREAKFAST CLUB & FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONE HIGH define that era for me. It is a shame that Universal has this as one of their 100th Anniversary releases and didn’t secure the right music tracks to keep this film preserved to it’s original theatrical release. Alas, that’s business for ya. Always going the cheaper route. "
