We all have our favourite films, but is there a moment in each that for you makes it memorable, you connected with, made you smile or made you emotional in some way?
Please post your own personal reflections.
As for me...
2010: The Year We Make Contact
[Show spoiler]The moment where Dr.Floyd is resting and receives a message from HAL from David Bowman, leading to their first meeting.
Alien
[Show spoiler]When Brett goes looking for the alien...and finds it.
Creepshow
[Show spoiler]When Richard meets his end in the story 'Something To Tide You Over" and his last lines.
Halloween
[Show spoiler]The ending of the movie and Michael's disappearance - cue music!
In The Mouth of Madness
[Show spoiler]The car journey to Hobb's End.
Jaws
[Show spoiler]When Chief Brody finally sees the Great White up close and says "You're gonna need a bigger boat"
Man of Steel
[Show spoiler]The final battle between Zod and Superman - "You're a monster Zod, and I'm going to stop you." I have to say though, that the beginning of the film with Kal's birth, placement and launch in rocket and Krypton's destruction as Lady Lara looks on made me emotional.
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
[Show spoiler]How the main villain is captured at the end. However, anything with Rebecca Ferguson is a close second!
Narrow Margin
[Show spoiler]When Robert Caulfield is confronted on the train by the two hitmen and the lead one has a conversation with him about giving up the girl, with Caulfield claiming he doesn't know who the woman is. However, it's the 'why he enjoys his job' speech for me.
'Salem's Lot
[Show spoiler]When Ben Mears finally defeats the vampire against a swinging light with more vampires approaching him he's not aware of. The Susan epilogue is a close second.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
[Show spoiler]The conversation between Kirk and Khan leading to "Khaaaaaaaaan!". However, Kirk and Spock's final conversation is something special too.
Superman: The Movie
[Show spoiler]When Superman flies Lex and Otis to the prison, the warden thanks him and Superman says "No, don't thank me Sir. We're all part of the same team. Goodnight."
The Exorcist
[Show spoiler]Father Karras' response to the possessed girl's mother when she asks him he she's going to die, where he says "No" and suddenly his whole demeanour changes and he's found his strength.
The Exorcist III: Legion
[Show spoiler]Any of the conversations between Lt. Kinderman and the Gemini Killer
The Prophecy
[Show spoiler]Any scene with Christopher Walken!
