Thanks for posting it Hardkore. In trailer 3, it finally showed "Real D 3D", from the creators of Happy Feet, Lego Movie 3D.

Storks is off my radar based on the trailers, but hopefully the 3D will be worth it for those who check it out.

Really good 3D (done by Sony Animation), Also a good Lego Ninjago short movie beforehand about a martial arts master.

I walked in late for the Ninjago short but I thought the 3d for that looked fantastic. I was very pleased with the 3D for Storks as well. Medium range 3d to my eyes and it had some hilarious and welcome popouts and some great strong parallax shots during flight sequences. Movie was hysterical and adorable as well and one of my favorite animated films of the year!

Just watched Storks this morning. What a fun little movie! Lovable characters and excellent writing with great voice acting. The down side is that the 3D is almost non-existent. Mostly mild with medium thrown in every now and then. Another missed opportunity where the 3D could have really shined.

The 3D reviews on this thread that claim the 3D was very good in the theaters will be disappointed in the 3D bluray release.

Thanks dartfrog. Glad the movie was entertaining!
Sorry to hear about the 3D. At least LG owners will be able to calibrate the 3D strength to suit.
*(Verified both the Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray in the set are region-free.)

Edit update: Viewed Storks 3D on the OLED, changing calibration settings from default to (3D Depth @ 20 and Viewpoint @ (-5))
The native 3D becomes real-world-immersive as a strong native 3D experience.

Paul, I have the 3D settings set to the max and the 3D still was not very good. Mild through out with some medium now and then. I have the LG 4K 3D UF8500. My 3D experience with this set has been outstanding.

Given the lacklustre reviews on the 3D showing, now I'm leaning more towards picking this up on UHD once it's cheaper... hmm...

I have been eyeing this movie as well but haven't heard much on how good it is story wise and 3d wise. I may wait to see if it gets a price drop.

Is this movie converted 3D, as mentioned here in the database, or is it actually native digital 3D?

From what I can remember, it's a mediocre movie with mediocre 3D. I've only watched it once since I purchased it in 2016. If you can find a cheap copy, go for it. But I wouldn't spend more than $10 or $15.
