Nice looking SteelBook, but it doesn't capture the feel of the movie, for me.

It's fairly nice, but I already own this on Blu-ray so probably won't get it unless it's a new transfer or includes new bonus features or something.
However if this had been a 4K release it would have been a day one purchase for me.

Sweet, I was hoping Zavvi would be getting this. Now here's hoping they get the Mummy trilogy steels as well then I can cancel the whole Amazon.it order. Man I can't wait to get this.

I really like this artwork but I already preordered from amazon.it, and I think their packaging is a little better

Beautiful steelbook. If it came with the "enhanced" special edition, I'd double-dip. But it's not worth it for me with no added content over my current set.

Before I get jumped - I think the only proper way to watch ET is the original version. But like it or not, the special edition is a piece of history, that got a big marketing push and a full theatrical release. As such, it should be in the set. The CGI ET shots and "fixes" are at the very least a curiosity worth checking out if you've never seen them, if for no other reason, as a reminder of the knee-jerk reaction Hollywood had during that time period.

^^ Too similar to the artwork for the 30 anniversary steelbook. The new art, on this one, is great.

I don´t own a steelbook with E.T. yet, so I definitely buy this re-release, but most likely from CDON for 9.95 Euro, the steelbook and transfer should be the same.

Beautiful artwork, modern look, but it goes with the movie nicely I think.

I never really cared for that one... it went the other way by stacking TOO many iconic images. The Digibook art has been the best since the LD box from 1989.
