Brilliant releases of two previously hard to see films.

The 2-strip Technicolor sequence in Stage Struck is quite memorable--I'm looking forward to see what sort of quality the print Kino uses is.

Stage Struck is pretty good, good source, excellent compression. Manhandled exists only in 16mm today, and from different elements, but for that level it looks okay. Compression is also good here.

Of course, both would look better (move better, that is) if these were interlaced for smooth motion...but we can’t have that anymore (only Criterion has the guts and sense to do it.)
