Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
That's all I require, everything else is a bonus. I don't support DRM or piracy so this would be the only way to get the game without paying exorbitant prices. Last edited by PenguinMaster; 07-18-2016 at 10:21 PM. |

I tried to limit my list to games already on the Virtual Console because that is what is going on the NES machine but I think I slipped a couple of whishful thinking in there too I am not sure, I don't turn my Wii U on very much anymore to remember what is even on the VC store, and I never go into Wii mode even when I do.
I think too many RPG's would be a bad idea, as much love as they get by hardcore gamers and collectors, they are not that popular with the masses and something like this has to appeal to ALL gamers not just the JRPG nuts. I think Doom is the only game I threw on there that I would substitute but I don't know what to replace it with. Maybe another 1st party title or a DKC sequel. Oh yeah mine should have said Super Play Action Football don't know where I got Pro Action Football from, been too long since I played the game I guess. |

TMNT they could work something out but Warner would most likely NOT let them touch the MK games and with good reason, the SNES versions all suck anyways. MK2 was barely passable for the time and only because we didn't have anything better to compare it to. Today there are a hundred better ways to experience MKII and the shitty SNES port is the farthest from ideal.

When I look through the list at the bottom of this page I think games using most of the other chips have appeared on virtual console: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...ancement_chips |

I don't think it has anything to do with owning the rights, it probably has more to do with the difficulty emulating it and Nintendo is notorious about putting as little effort into Virtual Console as possible. It could also be they chose to release the superior GBA version and since it sold well why bother with the inferior SNES version?
Of course nobody knows or understands the (non)logic Nintendo operates by. I wouldn't expect them to do this right, after all with NES mini they are sticking to using Wii components when it would be in their best interest to divorce themselves from the Wii branding as much as possible. With Miitomo app recently launching though I fear that is not on their radar at the moment. |

The GBA version just has a few extra levels. The SNES version has much better graphics and sound so it is definitely the superior version.
