Simply put, gather up your top ten films and sort them by those that have the greatest number of fans (as found here on the icon of each film's product page).
For instance, I would rank the ten greatest films ever made as: 1. The Exorcist 1973 2. La Dolce Vita 1960 3. Citizen Kane 1941 4. Vertigo 1958 5. 2001: A Space Odyssey 1968 6. Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs 1937 7. JFK 1991 8. Mulholland Dr 2001 9. The Endless Summer 1966 10. Manhattan 1979 Yet, here is how they rank in terms of the number of fans found on here: 1. 2001: A Space Odyssey 408 2. The Exorcist 285 3. Citizen Kane 224 4. Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs 191 5. Mulholland Dr 145 6. Vertigo 138 7. JFK 84 8. Manhattan 49 9. La Dolce Vita 37 10. The Endless Summer 4 My thoughts? Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is the clear winner of my top ten greatest films according to others. Nothing else even competes really. Most apparently agree that The Exorcist and Citizen Kane are indeed well-placed in my personal ranking. The bottom five films surprise me in that not many others like them enough to be "fans". I don't know if I'm happy because my tastes are truly mine or sad that so few may not like or know about these films! ![]() Last edited by Popcorn_Bliss; 11-21-2016 at 12:38 AM. |
