I got Saw 3D on Blu Ray today and took it home to watch it. It loads up to a screen with a Saw and the saw loads 3/4s and then stops and doesn't load any more. I have a Sony BDP 350. I also have a memory stick in the back so it's not that. Also been trying to update my player but that just won't happen.

How have you went about upgrading the firmware? We need more info. Are you doing it via ethernet (in the menu: "Network upgrade") or burned disc CDROM? You can get the files (CDROM ISO only) from here (read guide here) Those files total: 50mb.
http://support.sony-europe.com/tvhc/..._GB&m=BDP-S350 is your maintenance page. Upgrading via the player's menu is usually best. And make sure you have a USB flash drive in the rear of the machine too as Saw may be looking for it. If you're still struggling try here where owners will help if they can. The 350 is a great player and rock solid but it needs to be upgraded if you want to play all media or at least most media you'd expect to. |

I'm thinking of just upading to a PS3 as I want to get a 3D player anyway and I don't think you can upgrade the 350 to do so.

Hi all
Started to rewatch the Saw films ahead of the release of Spiral. Started before that film got delayed so thought I might as well continue with them. Was quite looking forward to watching the 3D in 3D, but when I've had a quick look at the disc, I can't seem to find any option to switch from 2D to 3D. This is the disc that's party of the complete set featuring all the films from the first up to Jigsaw. I've looked on here and the individual release says it is 1 disc but also contains the 3D version. Am I just being stupid here, or is the collection set only including it in 2D? |

Discovered it was partly me being stupid. Normally I play discs through my playstation and this one time I decided to play it through my normal blu-ray player as I just happened to have it on. This is why nothing appeared mentioning 3D.
When I stuck it on the PS3, it suddenly came up with the option. |
