United Kingdom Saw 3D

I got Saw 3D on Blu Ray today and took it home to watch it. It loads up to a screen with a Saw and the saw loads 3/4s and then stops and doesn't load any more. I have a Sony BDP 350. I also have a memory stick in the back so it's not that. Also been trying to update my player but that just won't happen.

if you cant update the firmware then you need to contact Sony

How have you went about upgrading the firmware? We need more info. Are you doing it via ethernet (in the menu: "Network upgrade") or burned disc CDROM? You can get the files (CDROM ISO only) from here (read guide here) Those files total: 50mb.

http://support.sony-europe.com/tvhc/..._GB&m=BDP-S350 is your maintenance page. Upgrading via the player's menu is usually best. And make sure you have a USB flash drive in the rear of the machine too as Saw may be looking for it.

If you're still struggling try here where owners will help if they can.

The 350 is a great player and rock solid but it needs to be upgraded if you want to play all media or at least most media you'd expect to.

I'm thinking of just upading to a PS3 as I want to get a 3D player anyway and I don't think you can upgrade the 350 to do so.

When I saw Sony BDP 350 I thought "wooh sounds familiar" but them "I have this one too". This is a 2D player, you need a 3D player man. Unless you're saying you want to wach the 2D version of the disc.

I'm holding out for Sony's new 4D (Smell-O-Vision® is the 4th dimension) player which will also have a free x-ray upgrade if I collect enough coupons.

I want to see Gone With The Wind in 4D on my Philips cinema 2.35:1 TV.

Default Question about SAW 3D

Hi all

Started to rewatch the Saw films ahead of the release of Spiral. Started before that film got delayed so thought I might as well continue with them. Was quite looking forward to watching the 3D in 3D, but when I've had a quick look at the disc, I can't seem to find any option to switch from 2D to 3D. This is the disc that's party of the complete set featuring all the films from the first up to Jigsaw.

I've looked on here and the individual release says it is 1 disc but also contains the 3D version. Am I just being stupid here, or is the collection set only including it in 2D?

That's weird. I have the individual release of Saw 3D and as you say, it is only one disc for 3D and 2D. It just gives me the option of 3D when the menu comes up.

Oh dear, I may have sold off my 3D disc by accident then. I’ll check when I get home as I also have the box set.

I don't know if it's relevant but the normal 3D disc does NOT have a 3D Blu Ray logo on it.

Quite a lot of 3D discs don’t actually have a 3D logo on them.
On Saw 3D, clicking Play Movie on the menu screen brings up the option of playing it in 3D or 2D.

Discovered it was partly me being stupid. Normally I play discs through my playstation and this one time I decided to play it through my normal blu-ray player as I just happened to have it on. This is why nothing appeared mentioning 3D.

When I stuck it on the PS3, it suddenly came up with the option.
