Default [PS4/PS Vita/PS3(Japan Only)/PC]Steins;Gate 0

Quote:
Last year, Steins;Gate was released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe. In 2016, Steins;Gate 0 will come to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in both regions. It’s a direct sequel that takes place during the same time period as the first game.

In Steins;Gate 0, players follow Rintaro Okabe after one of Steins;Gate’s bad endings. Upset about what happened, he finds he may have a second chance due to a new AI program called Amadeus. It’s a visual novel, like the first game, only this time Rintaro uses RINE, a messenger inspired by Line, to influence the plot by communicating with other characters.

Pre-orders for Steins;Gate 0 have already begun via Rice Digital. The PlayStation Vita version will be $49.99, while the PlayStation 4 version will be $59.99. The game will appear at Rice Digital’s London MCM 2016 booth this weekend, with free posters given away to anyone who says, “El Psy Kongroo.”

So does the first game cover the entire anime series, while this game is a "what if" for one of the bad endings previously experienced? So this game is an entirely "new experience"? I loved the anime, but I'd like a new experience if I wanted to "play" a visual novel.

For the most part yes. There is also Hiyoku Renri no Darling, Senkei Kōsoku no Phenogram and Hen'i Kuukan no Octet which are all spin-off games which are very different from eachother. Like Hiyoku Renri no Darling is more of a Dating Sim since it's more towards comedy and can get close to the girls and similar to Chaos;Head Love Chu Chu!. Hen'i Kuukan no Octet is more retro-style.

There should be a Steins;Gate 0 Anime coming out as well if it hasn't already come out and there is also the movie which Funimation has licensed for America.

Oh cool! Didn't know the movie got licensing in NA. That takes place right after the series correct? Will it ruin the show's ending lol I loved how it ended. But cool, I guess this game is an alternate timeline.

Unfortunately, it looks that in Canada the physical versions are exclusive to VGP (Vita & PS4) so we probably won't get the chance to get the yearly 30% E3 discounts for this one.

Yeah PQube don't exactly want their titles to get a mainstream release, so not even Gamestop will get it. Should be sold on Amazon though like the 1st game for PS3 and Vita. Though it either just hasn't shown up yet, or just waiting to sell it on release date. Probably Amazon for U.S. and Videogamesplus for Canada.

It looks like this ended up being the case. NA is getting a Limited Edition with an artbook but Rice Digital is getting an "Amadeus" Edition that has that plus a pin and the soundtrack. I weep for my wallet but I'm super tempted to get the Amadeus Edition for the soundtrack alone. I love the music of Steins;Gate.
