Default What, no Uncommon Valor?

The 1983 Gene Hackman, Fred Ward and Randal "Tex" Cobb Vietnam action film.

Definitely not an award-winning movie by any stretch, but would be a nice Blu Ray for the Sailor sunset scene and the daylight jungle stuff.

Plus, it's a Gene Hackman flick and Remo Williams in in it with the biker from Fletch Lives and Raising Arizona.

One of my favorite movies! Can't wait for it to come out on BD! What's taking so long?

I would definitely buy it as well. Great little movie with a solid who's who supporting cast of character actors.

I saw this in the theater in Dolby Stereo 4-2-4. The DVD I've been making do with has a pretty good transfer visually, but the sound needs some upgrading. There's a 5.1 Dolby Digital, and also the original Dolby Stereo 2.0 track for ProLogic decoding which now sounds rather thin. This was made in an era when surrounds were used sparingly, and the DVD reflects this, but a lossless track would certainly help.

Rambo First Blood Part 2 actually steals it's main plot from this movie and is much better known, but this is the far superior film.

The characters are far more human, and the mission is not without it's losses and tragedy. Here's hoping it gets the release it deserves, it's such an unsung movie that deserves a wider audience.

Not to mention Patrick Swayze and Jack Deth himself, Tim Thomerson

Great cast, great movie. Would buy the Blu-ray in a heartbeat.
