Ok, I know this was announced at the PS SoP, but I'm buying the Switch version when it releases in Spring 2025! Hopefully playable on the next Switch hardware as well...

Never got a chance to play these back in the PS1/Sega CD days. Glad these remasters are coming out.

This is a big deal for me; I have a list of PS1/PS2 games that I would like to see updated and made available again, and these games (especially Lunar 2) are high up on it.

I've wanted to play these for years, so I'm ecstatic about this. Us JRPG fans are being seriously spoiled with all these ports, remasters and remakes coming out!

Unfortunately, any North American physical will probably be via LRG, similar to Grandia HD Collection.

My concern with a NA release (physical or digital) is that they will censor the art. Don't know if GungHo made any changes to Grandia, but some of the Lunar series character designs are probably risqué by current standards, and even Working Designs censored Lunar 2.

Seems to be a fairly low effort remaster, similar to Grandia HD, which I can deal with. Just glad these games are getting a re-release with some improvement on modern consoles.

Honestly, I wish they'd include the Sega CD versions too, even if they're just emulated and untouched from the original release. It would be a nice bonus and help the collection feel more definitive.

I’d also like the originals but I presume it’s not wanting to pay for the Working Designs translation and audio that is keeping it out, just like with the Genesis Mini 2.

That was so disappointing. I picked up the Japanese MD Mini 2 for Lunar but it is a bit overwhelming for me.

Still glad we are getting this, but I wonder why they are not including Lunar Walking School. GameArts remade the Game Gear version for Saturn and it has all the same updates that we got from the Saturn/PS1 updates to Lunar & Lunar 2. Realistically it's probably the same reason they didn't include Grandia Digital Museum in Grandia Collection (they aren't using Saturn as the source for anything) so it is just another game that will never get an official international release.

Available for purchase today, but out of stock already. Says it's in stock on the product page, but when you go to checkout, says unavailable. I had a feeling their weird no preorder before release was going to cause problems. Hopefully they have more stock soon.

Real stinks I can't just buy the VGP Canada ESRB release, but American customers are barred from edition. It's rare, but that does happen from time to time. I loathe buying ANY video game from Amazon US, due to their games frequently arriving damaged.

There is a post today about logo and package design, kind of figured it wouldn't be much work since the series logos already exist but I guess it was quite a process.

Apparently, a 6 week or so backorder, but I ordered from them. Mainly because I'm not in a hurry for this one and I despise ordering any video game from Amazon US.
