Default Pet peeves you have with certain stores when it comes to bluray shopping.

Walmart: I work 12 hour night shifts. When certain big releases are supposed to be available on tuesdays, it drives me crazy that by 7 in the morning they still haven't stocked the shelves with the new releases. I will never understand the logic behind that.

On a side note, its crazy how poor the movie section at my local Best Buy has become. My local Target actually has the best selection of blus now with a lot of variety in genres and price points.

I feel the same way about WM. I've seen sometimes, they don't even have them out at 9am. Have gone back in the afternoon, and they are just putting new releases out. I am also displeased that they don't seem to carry 3D releases anymore.

Circa 2007-2009 they always had big releases at midnight in Morgantown, WV. My college years.

I went for the Anchorman 2 steelbook at the Sterling, Va location in 2013. They had no idea what I was talking about. Took them 45 minutes to come back with the whole box they had gotten 2 days before.

Haven't been back since. That location is a cesspool. I'll never step foot in another one.

Years ago I could get off work at 11:00 pm on a Monday and wait a hour and go into Walmart at midnight and the new DVD releases would be stocked. Not just big releases either, but smaller titles also. Times have changed. I went into Walmart yesterday around 4:00pm and they only had 1 copy of Dory on the shelf and no Star Wars 3D. I had to ask for Star Wars Tuesday morning when I got off.

Thumbs down B&M Stores

Walmart: The number of BDs they stock keeps shrinking, in favor of DVDs.

Target: Plastic coffins and spider wraps.

Best Buy: Movie section keeps shrinking, is a shadow of its former self.

FYE and Barnes & Noble: High prices, non-sale prices are at or near full MSRP. BN also trashes slipcovers.

I agree with you on FYE and their prices on new releases, but I've gotten some phenomenal deals with their used selection. I used to never buy used, but I've found the used ones at FYE have all been in tremendous shape and to good of a price to pass up.

The fact that Wal-Mart stocks UHD, but not 3D.

(My local) Target - inconsistent stocking. Exclusives havent been delivered or put out until a customer asks where X is.
