I've had my HDR TV for a few months and watched many 4K discs and they lack the wow factor of the 4K HDR demo clips on YouTube especially the LG OLED Chess demo. I've watched the YouTube clips a lot as they seem to be the only thing that really showcases what my TV is capable of,
There's still been a few instances on the discs that have had that wow factor such as scenes with a lot of fire or direct light such as El Diablo in Suicide Squad but not the whole thing like the YouTube clips. There's still a worthy difference in the wider colour compared to the Blu-Ray which look very washed out and murky once you've been watching the HDR discs. |
