This is getting some IMAX screens, which is impressive for a foreign film. I think the last foreign movie to have IMAX showings was The Wandering Earth II.

I have been watching several of the Indian movies in the theater for about the past year at a local Cinemark. Many of the bigger ones like Brahmastra, Pathaan, and others were shown on the XD screens. Going to a showing of this today at an XD screening.

This was a blast, better than any Indian movie I've seen in years!

Just got back from the movie theater. The fight choreography and car chase sequence are pretty spectacular. Also, the sound design rocks; it's more detailed with a wider soundstage than that of Pathaan! You could clearly hear the sound effects coming from all the surround speakers. Enjoyable songs and dances, too.

Plotwise, however, it gets a bit preachy toward the end

Overall, I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. Recommended.

The specialty market had a Shah Rukh Khan-nice weekend as Yash Raj Films’ Jawan pulled in an estimated $6.2 million in 813 theaters — a per-theater average $7.6k — taking the no. 4 spot at the North American box office. That’s a $7.56 million cume for the Bollywood action thriller including Thursday shows.

Saw this yesterday. It was nice seeing the different disguises, which looked cooler than Shah Rukh Khan's actual character.

The dance numbers didn't wow me. They weren't bad but I was expecting more. They also didn't feel very well-integrated into the movie. I enjoyed Pathaan more. The sound mix was really good; probably the best one I've heard this year. I loved the ominous theme that played in the background.

I felt the same way about the first 3 dance scenes. They felt like they were put in simply because it's expected.

Its a decent good film. nothing more. nothing less imo.

SRK's incredible performance and villian's steller performance saved this film. or else it would've been average.

Problem is Atlee's direction. It way too bombastic and rough around the edges. Screenplay doesnt flow smoothly.

JAWAN is south full masala film mascarating as Bollywood film. It got way too preachy at the end.

As I avoided PATHAN like a corona virus. Cant stand that YRF Spy Universe garbage one bit, JAWAN was too good of an offer to refuse from the trailer itself.
