With all the DC shows being announced and currently airing and the Marvel Netflix shows coming....which characters would you like to see next? Who would make a great TV show?
I love that TV is proving to be somewhere that we can get lesser known characters that wouldn't be likely to get their time on the big screen. Not sure why, but the other day it just hit me that The Question would possibly make for a great series. |

I know this would never, ever, ever happen because there's too much money at stake, but I would love to see a Wolverine TV series. It could be fairly cost-effective since his powers aren't super flashy (they'd just have to be creative about showing the healing). It could focus on Logan's struggles and be a bit more personal without having to figure out a big "Act 3 finale" that the last movie stumbled on.

If Widow hadn't been part of the Avengers films I would say her. I think she could have worked very well as a TV series particularly if it was similar to her current standalone book. She doesn't have powers that would cause problems for effects. She is pretty much a loner so the cast wouldn't have to be too large. That said I wouldn't want them to run it with different a actress.
I think Punisher could work for similar reasons. So I'll go with Punisher as my answer assuming Netflix is willing to go gritty enough. |

I counter with Agents of Shield are all these characters "well known" Both Strikeforce Morituri and Omega would make decent shows with your HBO network |

Agents of Shield isn't about Superheroes technically and the MCU laid the groundwork for the show. If people hadn't seen Coulson or knew what S.H.I.E.L.D. was before the show launched it probably wouldn't have survived very long.

Since Spider-Man is joining the MCU and skipping the origin, a Spider-Man origin series on Netflix.
A Spider-Man show would be hard to do because his powers are so fantastic, but I would love a Spider-Man Netflix series that's just one long origin. Like Daredevil -- he's not the full-fledged Daredevil yet, the whole season is an origin story. You could set up Peter without powers. Have us spend a little more time with Uncle Ben than we would get to in a movie. See Peter's normal life. And after you get to the spider bite, you could show Peter dealing with his new powers and learning to use them. Then you do the wrestling. Put him in the wrestler/makeshift outfit (similar to Tobey's wrestling outfit and Andrew's plain mask with leather jacket and sunglasses). Have him getting involved with small scale, street level crime -- muggers, etc. No big villains with fancy -- expensive -- powers required. Since they're casting young, they won't have to worry about getting someone "too big" for a Netflix series. So I would love a Spider-Man Netflix series that focuses only on his origin. He's not technically Spider-Man until the end, and that way we'll only see Spider-Man in the movies. If the Flash can have a show, with all the superpowers, you can have a show about Peter Parker, er, 'learning to crawl,' as it were. A lot of it can be done practically and without CGI. |

Gotta believe we'll see something from Punisher in the TV world at some point in the next couple years. Can't see Marvel just sitting on having him back and not using him for something.

A one-off 13 episode season (or even just 8 like Agent Carter) released before the film. Something that enhances the experience of watching the movie but is not necessary to see before the movie. |

I want a Quantum & Woody show or a Archer & Armstrong show
I'd love a Astro City show but I'm not sure you can do a live action version of that without it looking silly. And while not a comic I'm kinda hopping when Game of Thrones is done HBO replaces it with a show based on the Wild Cards books that were edited by G.R.R. Martin. |

I may be a little biased, but The Punisher would be my pick too. Depending on what network, maybe it wouldn't be as violent as some of the comics, but even shows like Arrow and The Walking Dead are still pretty violent without being gory. The show could even play out as sort of a crime drama.
