United Kingdom Is sanity.com.au customs friendly?

As the title says, I would like to know if sanity.com.au Is customs friendly as I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and I would like to take advantage of there 2 for $40 but would rather not end up with customs charges.

I have used jb-hifi in the past with no problems but they don't have the same offer. Any help is appreciated thanks.

I can't help you with the customs question, but I'd like to warn you if you buy from Sanity, it's pretty likely your purchase will arrive pre-opened and out of the shrink wrap. EVERYTHING in Sanity's store is already opened and when you go to buy it they grab the discs from the back of the store. I don't know if their online store is the same, but I personally wouldn't take the risk.

If you order from Sanity's online store, stock is sent out from their warehouse and should be sealed.

That's all well and good but I really want to know if they are customs friendly to the uk? I'm aware I've posted on the Australian section but that was because I'm trying to buy from an Australian site,

Someone from the uk must have tried sanity before surely?

Your question might be best asked here:

I've ordered from Sanity a few times in the past (to the UK).

They always declare the correct amount on their packages (no mark downs) so that means anything over £15 will usually attract import VAT + £8 Royal Mail handling fee.

As for stock being opened / unsealed this has never happened to me before when using Sanity online.

Most likely it is an in-store anti-theft policy. Some stores take the discs out and just display empty cases. They only put the disc back in when you purchase.

So has anything you've ever ordered been over £15? Have you ever managed to get it through undetected even though it displays the full price? Thanks

Yes I ordered a DVD set last year which was about £40.

I've also ordered a few Blu-Ray's from them in the past as well - some just over, some just under the £15 limit.

They always declare the correct value and the ones over £15 always get stopped by customs.
