Forget the oscars, your choice is from all films. Go back as far as you like.

Here is my list, which goes back to 1950 (EDIT: Now 1927). If a choice sucks, that's because I probably haven't seen enough films from that year and may be choosing from 2 or 3 I've seen and liked. And yes, some directors/writers have a large number of entries, I just happen to really love their films.
