This was pretty good. The acting was all strong and the plot has me intrigued. My one complaint so far is that the pilot was a little slow paced, but we'll see if it picks up in the next episode. I highly recommend this overall though.

Ratings

Masters of Sex is near the bottom, I don't know how to read the ratings. One good thing though is it's on Showtime and I am not sure their as worried about ratings as channels like FOX, ABC, CBS and so on.

a bit less than 1 million if i'm reading correctly. not bad for a new show especially being sex-centric (well, drama and sex)

Hopefully word of mouth will up the viewers this for this show, it's always amazes me how squeamish North Americans are around sex but not violence. Shows like Dexter, Soprano's, Sons of Anarchy and Boardwalk Empire do great mind you there were or are excellent shows. A lot North Americans can only seem to deal with sex if it's in a comedic context.

Ironically enough, the show hasn't had that much sexual content at all.

I am DVRing this, in case it gets lots of good reviews - just soooooo many other shows to catch up on and watch.
