not what I was saying, but some people in chile consider him a hero

a bigger part of population though dont like to see reopen wounds in such a extremist way, particularly now that the extreme left is taking over the country with less than stellar results

seems a silly and childish move to make in my opinion, but most of you will obviously disagree and its ok, Im no Pinochet

As a latinamerican whos seeing the harm that the extremes, both left and right, have done to this continent, I think polarizing the population is the last thing you need to do right now.

Besides that, the movie seems extremely childish and silly, but you're welcome to watch it, I certainly won't, and I hope, and its not a gratuitous comment to make given the extremists in this board, that others will also respect this right

Won't someone think of the far-right's fee-fees?

Let's be honest. This is an art movie. Mainstream audiences, be they right- or left-leaning, will stay away in droves. Highly unlikely to set the country on fire.

Seen yesterday and it is really really a good movie.
When I first heard about the plot I thought it'd be one of those crappy mashups of genres. Instad it is really a refined satire, well crafted, and possibly with the best cinematography of the year.

There's only the underlying dilemma that the viewer has to face: is it proper to make a comedy about a dictatorship and its related horrors?

Saw it last fall and thought it was fantastic. Funny, revolting, poetic and maybe the best Third Act identity reveal ever. My second favorite film of 2023 (after “The Zone of Interest”).
