Mystery Road / Goldstone

I have to strongly urge anybody interested in Australian cinema or crime dramas to check out these 2 films (in a series). Goldstone is just out in Australian cinemas now and the both of them are fantastic but Goldstone is the best of the two. Incredible mood and atmosphere, fantastic acting and excels in all technical areas, but also deals with corruption, class, ethics and race relations in such an honest and careful way, and really makes you feel for the characters. The action scenes are minimalist and realistic but very effective, and the scenery is just gorgeous. Some of the best films to be produced in Australia in a long time.
