Any regrets, or disappointment buying the WiiU?? - Blu-ray Forum

I have one, and I will say there isn't a ton of variety out yet, I still have fun with it.. Some of the older Wii games are great, and I have a ton of VC games downloaded that is just a blast from the past, and I actuallu finding myself playing the VC games more than anything..

Mario U is fun, but there isnt much out there... Did Nintendo do a belly flop on this , or will it become better in the future? As of right now it doesnt seem to be anywhere near the popularity of the Wii

slow start but lots of first party titles coming this year, including the 3D mario game from the galaxy team, as well as the unannounced titles from Retro studios.
then there is also Mario kart and Windwaker HD, there are also several third party and 2nd party exclusives coming too. so they be a nice selection of titles by end of year.

as well as some unannounced titles for may - august. then there is the multi platform titles too.

but December - April was very quite on the releases front tho.

i hope we get new mario games.

galaxy 3
new paper mario game
sunshine 2
all of the nes/snes/n64/gamecube games upgraded to hd

and, ide love to see a luigis mansion as well.

Gotta say pretty disappointed in WiiU so far.
Nothing to play on it but ports of games on other systems and lackluster first party games.
Nintendoland was the only saving grace that got me through Christmas with my kids.

paper Mario is great the 3Ds game was fun but more like an intro to the series.
a nice large game like the gamecube one be great.

I would like to see nintendo and rockstar team up to bring a HD upgrade of body harvest to either wiiU or 3DS

I think that company is practically dead from their last 360 game.

Eternal Darkness was a pretty cool game back in the day.

Nintendo owns the whole Sanity effects concepts of ED so they are free to make a similar kinda of game.

I keep needing to dust it off I've played it so little but I don;t regret buying it. Once the first party games start picking up it'll be worth it as every Nintendo console has in the past. I never intended the Wii U to be my primary console. Sony has been my main console since the PS1 and likely will be when PS4 comes out.

I own Black Ops 2, Mario, NFS, and I just bought Monster Hunter.

I know Nintendo has a lot in store for the system later this year, and I am fine with waiting for those things.

The same thing was said of many, example the PSP. Potential means nothing this day & age. If I don't get a gaming PC this time around, I will definitely wait at least 3 yrs after all 3 major consoles are out. I still have MANY PS3 to finish and many more that I want to buy at one point in the near future and I felt that Ninty burned me w/ my Wii purchase to this day w/ a tech that didn't really deliver.

I think Ninty should have definitely changed the name instead of calling it Wii U. I believe the audience that buys the mayority of the Nintendo consoles still thinks that the Wii U is just an add-on controller to the Wii.

+1 as well.

All those games listed above plus ZombiU, Nintendo Land and Lego City: Undercover are definitely enough titles to keep me playing until Wind Waker HD, Super Smash Bros, Pikmin 3 and a 3D Mario. E3 will hopefully be Nntendo's time to shine.

No regrets...bought it day one and have played a lot of great games on it. First party titles like New Super Mario U, Nintendo Land, Lego City Undercover and Wind Waker HD have kept me busy as have third party stuff like NFS: MWU, Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Assassin's Creed 3 and 4, and both Batman games.

Once the first party games start picking up it'll be worth it as every Nintendo console has in the past. I never intended the Wii U to be my primary console. Sony has been my main console since the PS1 and likely will be when PS4 comes out.
