The Sony KX-45ED1, sold in the United States and Canada as the PVM-4300, is the largest CRT display that has ever existed at 43 inches. It was released in 1989 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sony Trinitron and is so rare that many people have outright doubted its existence until now. It turns out there is a restaurant in Sakai, Osaka, Japan that had one of these displays and had existed for 327 years, having opened in 1695, and was about to move into a new building from October 23, 2022, with the old building, which had been used since the end of World War II, to later be demolished. What's more is that this particular one is a KX-45ED1T, which adds a built-in VT-X5R tuner. This YouTube user, known as Shank Mods, managed to bring the display to the United States before the building was demolished, and this is the only video on the entire Internet that shows one working.
