Is there a way to find out if the HBO Digital HD code is valid or not valid?

I have a set of movies from HBO and want to sell them, but not sure if these HBO Digital HD codes been used or not.

I just tried to entered one code but afraid if I go through all 3 the steps, that I will use the code. I stopped at step 2 and did not want to go further. Which I am trying not to use.

Usually, if you can get to step 2 the codes are still good. I check my codes the same way and only once did I get to step 2, then sell the code and had it fail on the buyer. I've sold dozens, and many of them from used discs.

So, if you want to sell em, do honor system. If you're giving em away, go ahead and whoever you give me to will know soon enough.
