Tempted to purchase this one for the figure itself. Anyone experienced problems ordering from from Amazon Japan?

Not really. The only shipping option to US is expedited so it makes it in two days most of the time. If I were to order just a couple of steelbooks, I always use the cheapest giftwrap option. That gives it more protection. I don't know how it would help that box being shipped though.

I, too, have had no issue. The only problem you might run into is if you're buying from a third party, finding one that ships outside Japan.

It wasn't that much earlier. Looks like Amazon stock is gone and those are just third-party sellers. It might be back up again later

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from jp. Never any issues, and yeah shipping can be a bit higher but it's still reasonable and super fast.

I got the Force Awakens box set from there last year. It was around $100 US, but I didn't want to take the chance it would sell out, and it seemed to for a bit, then it dropped to like $45 a few months later. Hopefully this one comes back and you can preorder it just in case and see if it sells out again. If it's close to release and still available maybe cancel your order because chances are it will drop again. Got lucky with the Sound of Music gift set like that too. It was around $100, sold out for a bit and third party had it for $120-130, then it came back for around $80 I think when I got it.
