I've seen people prefer Poltergeist III over the original, and there's an army of Exorcist II defenders who like the sequel more than the first.
And let's not forget the "Creepshow 2 is better than Creepshow" crowd.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if a few Jaws 2,3,4 votes come in.

Jaws is clearly the best made and such, but I have a bad soft spot for the 3rd one. I mean, Jaws in a Water Park and all the cheese that came with it being in 3D. It was always my go to Jaws film as a kid.

Note that I still give it only like 3.5/5 stars and the original is 5/5, I just have more fun with that silly sequel.

Obviously Jaws, but I have a lot of love for the second movie as well. I think it suffers because the original is such a classic.

Jaws is the best of the series. However I do think that Jaws 2 is one of the greatest sequels ever made. The last two are watchable.

Jaws The Revenge= Ok family drama, GOD AWFUL shark movie.

Had to be Jaws for me. But I do rate Jaws 2 quite highly and Jaws 3D is kind of fun...but Jaws The Revenge is pretty shit. Overall this series went more and more downhill.

Jaws original is obviously the best, the basically like them in the order of their release.
