Being that there are NO TV manufactures that are continuing with 3D, will the existing population of 3D TV's accompanied by current and future 3D projectors be enough to keep 3D Blu rays around? Maybe long enough that for one day glasses free 3D to come around? I have little hope.. but things like 3 more Avatar movies coming.. and more Star-Wars... might be enough... but i feel like i'm grasping at straws here.
One thing that does hearten me is that there are 1000's upon 1000's of 3D 4k TV's out there already and so many people have a TV with 3D that they will not have to replace for 10 years or so. (assuming that 8k will be a tough very sell in the next 8-12 years) That being said I will be buying an LG 75in 4K this year with hopes that the blu-rays keep getting released. And will be getting a 3D 4K projector as well. |
