Germany Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Seasons 1-3 SD on Blu-ray

I'm surprised this doesn't have it's own thread yet: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Is anyone interested in getting this release? I used to have the Shout! Factory DVDs and while rebuilding my Power Rangers DVD and Blu-ray collection I was interested in getting this release instead of the DVDs. Think I should look at getting this instead? I know it's not true HD, but I've heard SD on Blu-ray is better than DVD. Hopefully this actually gets released next month. Originally it was suppose to come out December and it got delayed 4-5 months.

I pre-ordered this set and I am pissed as hell about the huge delay. Hopefully they will get it done by April this time around!! PQ should be a lot better since it is not compressed.

Well, even if it is (I have no idea), your display would have to be able to convert PAL 576i to NTSC.

Reading up on it, and I don't think the 65-inch TCL Roku 6 Series TV can convert PAL to NTSC: https://forums.roku.com/viewtopic.php?t=89777

So what if I want to get this Blu-ray set? Buy a PAL to NTSC converter for the TV?

I find it strange that this keeps getting pushed back. My little sister expressed interest in it yesterday as Australia didn't get the 10-episode "Alien Rangers" saga here with the Complete Season 3 DVD.

They weren't satisfied with the quality. They want to present this with the best sound and picture quality. They have quality control on every single episode, which is why it takes so long.

Maybe they hired them after they released Megaforce on Blu-Ray then , because that release has plenty of encoding errors/artifacts that affect at least 8 episodes on the set.

I was going to order that set but those screenshots have changed my mind. Absolutely shocking! Will stick to upscaled DVD's!

The delay is frustrating but if they are spending so much time to make sure its the best release possible then we can hope it's the best the series has ever looked on home media. I have the German and US DVD's and really hope this will be a worthy upgrade.

I honestly don't know if I would trade them for DVDs though, 99% of the episode looks a lot better than an upscale. The macroblocking lasts only a second or so and shows up three to five times throughout those 8 episodes that are affected.

But I get what you're saying, it's appaling to have this type of errors on an official release.

+ They ruined the german dub tracks of the "Super" Seasons.
Supposed to be 2.0 Stereo but actually it's 2.0 Mono.

I like that the episodes are in English but I wish the episode titles weren't German burn-ins. I know its not a huge deal, but I wish you could view them in English.

To be honest, can you blame them for lack of care. I mean, this is Megaforce we're talking about.

Has that been confirmed? I know the German DVDs were like that and annoyed me, plus there were some terrible artifacts.

Would just be nice to see MMPR in the best picture quality available whilst retaining the English titles.

German titles only, but all those terrible artifacts are finally gone. MMPR has never looked better on any official release. All episodes are also in the correct order now.

There were some problems with artifacts during the inital release, but they took care of it and offered a replacement program. It'll be re-released in stores September 27th with corrected discs! So make sure to pick that one up, if you want to own MMPR on blu-ray. Best release available.

Everything's perfectly fine now after the replacement program. Every single episode now has the correct German audio. Picture quality is also fine now. No more annoying artifacts, interlacing problems, dropped frame rates, etc. They did a great job fixing all these issues. It looks miles better than any DVD release of MMPR worldwide. Also, all episodes now appear in the correct order. That has always been an issue with previous German DVD releases of MMPR. But not anymore. I am glad they fixed this set, as this is now the definitve release of MMPR, that every fan should own. 5/5 stars.

Please, JustBrige, give us ZEO next!
