Hey folks,
Was hoping someone could help me troubleshoot this issue. My receiver is the Onkyo HT-R695 with a 5.1.2 speaker setup. Everything is working perfectly. The setup is as follows: Onkyo HT-R695: Output(s): HDMI Out (ARC) > LG 65EG9600-UB OLED HDMI 2 (ARC Enabled) [note: HDMI 1/3 does not support ARK on this TV] Inputs(s): Samsung UBD-K8500 > HDMI In 1 (BD/DVD) Shaw Cable Gateway PVR XG1V30533 > HDMI In 2 (Cable/Set Top Box) Sony PlayStation 4 > HDMI In 3 (Game) Microsoft Xbox One > HDMI In 5 (PC) With the exception of the Shaw Cable Gateway PVR, all devices including the Television and Receiver are connect wirelessly to the internet and have the latest firmware across the board. Now that I have gotten all that likely irrelevant information out of the way, let me describe the issue. Whenever viewing any content with a 5.1.2 audio track (Dobly Atmos or DTS:X) I get a constant pulsating buzz coming out of the left upward speaker. I have tested another speaker by changing the wire and it occurs there as well so we are not dealing with a blown speaker. I have verified polarization and all cables are connected properly and none are backwards. When watching films at mid to high volume, scenes where the audio is quiet is when the buzzing is most noticeable, and by noticeable I mean nigh unbearable. Any suggestions as to the cause or fix? I hate to think that my receiver is bad somehow. Thanks in advance for any and all advice and suggestions. I have a primary out HDMI cable running directly to my LG 65EG9600-UB and the receiver has HDMI inputs from a Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Ultra BD player, |
