Sony camped out in front of Best Buy - Blu-ray Forum

I just got back from Best Buy in Santa Clarita California today, and camped out in the parking lot was a Sony truck.

They had 1 Blu-ray player and a PS3, but no Blu-ray banners anywhere, WTF?

BTW - Urban Home, is there also a Country Home nearby. I'm biased towards Country..... lol

I did, they must have recruited the reps from the newspaper want adds.

I asked about the lack of Blu-ray advertisement, and they responded with,"we have a blu-ray player right there, and a PS3 right here"

Whatever, I realize they are trying to push more than Blu-ray products in this campaign, but It would have been a good opportunity to do so.

I had the same truck today in front of my South Florida store. The girls were giving out 10% coupons on Sony products.

Just a couple dumba$$es here. No coupons. But then again, I just went in with my camera phone a blazin and questioning their advertising techniques.
Or the lack of in Blu-rays case.

They did have a standalone, and a PS3, but NO blu-ray adds, I do blu slogans, nothing.

It's probably part of their HDNA campaign, of which Blu Ray is a small part, but a part nonetheless

Yeah, ha, they probably said "Who is this guy, taking 20 pictures of a truck?" It's a shame they couldn't even hire knowledgeable people to run the thing though.

I would have disappointed too if the truck showed up in my town with no free stuff at all. Not even a blu-ray logo? Looks like a boring truck to me
