The Mods provided Disney's schedule and National Treasure is coming out in May/Spring. But I believe it's the first movie because it said Special Edition. I would not be surprised that the second one that you saw will soon follow. (Do movie companies even wait 6 months after theater release to release the DVD/Blu disks?)

April makes some sense, however if the first is releasing in May, i would assume they would release both at the same time to maximize marketing for the movies

I have no idea WHY Disney did not release it right before the second hit the theater, which would have been the ideal time.

It's cool, though. At least they have that coming as well as a lot more awesome flicks headed our way. All blu.

Can't wait to see Aladdin on blu. *insert laughter here* I know. It's a kids movie, but I like it. Robbin Williams was excellent in that movie. Great movie.

I loved the first one. Does the second one live up to it?

It's historically inaccurate at some points in the movie, but otherwise it was very entertaining.

It didn't get favorable reviews but I think the fans of the 1st one will enjoy Book of Secrets as well. I enjoyed it and would go as far as to say it was better than the 1st one.

Since I am in the industry, this is a fight that we fight with the studios all the time. The studios are trying to shorten the window from the time the film leaves the theatre to the time it arrives on video. Right now, the breaking point between exhibitors and the studios is just over 3 months. The exhibitors will not accept a movie booking if they see the window is too short during the negotiation stage. You will also find that (almost) no exhibitor will carry title if the studio will put said title on video day and date of theatrical release. Soderberg (sp?) experimented with and failed miserably.

6 months is too long. 3 months about right so the theatres get their proper share.
