I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this great series from Korea. In the same league as Squid Game in my opinion. The trailer is a bit biased in favour of action, but the series is equally interested in sin, redemption, organised religion and morality. It might have been better with a couple more episodes to give some characters more complete stories, though they may be back in series 2. When it got to 15 minutes into episode 4 I was thinking they really aren't going to do that are they? The final scene is quite a surprise, can't wait for series 2

I thought this show was fantastic, and overall better than Squid Game. A real cliff-hanger at the end of the last episode. Hope the wait for series 2 isn't too long....

That twist is the ultimate payoff. Without it the premise of the show falls short.

I have it a close 3rd to Squid Game among Korean shows I've watched on Netflix. Kingdom is 1 for me.

It’s in my backlog of things to watch. It’s hard to find the time for everything. Just too much damn content these days

I really hope we get another season. There's been no announcement of anything post-Ashin of the North.

That twist at the end, did not see that coming! It truly does change everything.
I enjoyed season 1 (the intro for the first and third episodes were absolutely brutal and fantastic) but episode 4 and especially 5 felt like I was watching Handmaid's tale, omg was it frustrating haha. Korean cinema just know how to make the most evil and frustrating bad guys ever. I had the same pure hatred for the bad guy in Train to busan haha and the Kingdom too for that matter. But episode 6's twist made it worth it, imo.
Hopefully it doesn't take years for another season because by then I might have lost interest.
