Only new. I'd prefer to pay double over buying something used.

I generally buy new blu-rays, although I have bought a few used ones. I tend to avoid that unless the deal is too good to pass up. I much prefer to take off my own shrinkwrap. It's a bonding experience.

Prefer new, but have purchased used in the past. Haven't done so since the two FYE Superstores in my area closed about a year ago. I do believe our smaller, mall-sized FYE stores still carry used BDs.

Mostly new. Probably 70/30 as of right now. Gohastings has really helped me boost my collection on the cheap though.

New mostly, like pretty much everyone else who posts in this thread is going to say. Only buy used when it's at least $5 cheaper than the absolute lowest price I can find for it Brand New, and it must be in Like New condition and have the slipcover (if one was ever present).

I know many people who take care of their blu-rays well. So buying used items from them is not a problem.

I don't mind buying em new if its cheap. But used is also something I don't mind doing, especially if the slipcover/cover art etc is in good condition.

Blu-ray disc are tough to damage.

If it's something I really want... New. But if it's something I can wait on... used.

I would browse used dvds in thrift stores and pawn shops but used bds are't really all that much cheaper right now and I have yet to see anything I actually want anyway.

But I'm not opposed to buying used provided the price and condition are right.

I typicly prefer new. But I've been thumbing through the Used bin at FYE and have found some good deals and obscure titles. So I don't rule Used out. But the packaging has to be intact.

I prefer buying my blu-rays new. However, if a particular title is VHTF or OOP and I happen to come across it for cheap in used condition (price must be way cheaper than it is new), then I will buy it. The used copy must come with cover art and slipcover (if it originally has one).

i buy both. if they have some new & it's in good condition i'll buy it.

for example i bought some of the "James Bond" films used cause it was cheaper than some of the stores by me sell it for. it had the same content nothing different. so why buy it new? the discs were in great condition so were the cases. so why not ya know?

I've only bought new ones, but that doesn't mean I won't buy used ones in the future.

I bought these used:

"An American Carol" (online)
"Dog Day Afternoon" (online)
"The Golden Compass" (online)
"The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus" (used rental from local store)
"The Last Airbender" (used rental from local store)
"Let the Right One In" (from a friend)
"Mission Impossible" box set (online)
"The Karate Kid" 2010 (used rental from local store)
"Ocean's 11, 12, 13" box set (online)
"The Orphanage" (from a friend)
"Postal" (online)
"Precious" (used rental from local store)
"Resident Evil" Trilogy box set (online)
"Scott Pilgrim vs the World" (used rental from local store)
"Speed Racer" (online)
"Star Wars: Clone Wars" 2008 pilot film (online)
"Tokyo!" (online)

Everything else I own were purchased new.

I'm thinking about relying on buying used discs more often to save money.
